Minimum 95% Organic Cotton
The GOTS is recognised as one of the leading processing standard for textiles made from organic fibers. It defines high-level environmental and toxicological criteria – for example all input chemicals such as dyestuffs and waste water treatment – along the entire organic textiles supply chain and all processors must comply with social criteria.
Minimum 20% Recycled Material
The GRS is a holistic certification that verifies recycled input material, tracks it from input to the final product, and also ensures social responsibility, environmental practices and chemical use through production. The desired effect of the GRS is to provide brands with a tool for more accurate labeling, to encourage innovation in the use of reclaimed materials, to establish more transparency in the supply chain, and to provide better information to consumers.
Minimum 20% Organic Cotton
The Organic Content Standard (OCS) applies to any product containing 95-100 % organic material. It verifies the presence and amount of organic material and tracks the flow of the raw material from its source to the final product.
Global Cotton Production
The Better Cotton Initiative (BCI) is a not-for-profit organisation that exists to make global cotton production better for the people who produce it, better for the environment it grows in and better for the sector’s future. Through BCI and its Partners, farmers receive training on how to use water efficiently, care for the health of the soil and natural habitats, reduce use of the most harmful chemicals and apply decent work principles.
